Easy to migrate to PCI Express Fabric

The VFusion solutions for Linux and Windows provides a Berkeley sockets / Winsock2 compliant interface that typically reduce storage latency to 1/10 of regular latency without any application modifications. Together with support for FC, ISCSI, NFS and SMB to allow for seamless integration and data migration. Advanced users may want to take advantage of the sub microsecond latency available using the SISCI – cluster shared memory API. The SISCI API offers direct access to remote memory, DMA, remote interrupts, FPGA/GPU PCI Express peer to peer communication and multicast.

Significantly Reduced MySQL Response Time
In a DBT2 test we have seen up to 292% improvement in response time and in a recent LAMP benchmark, Vortex Express provided response time improvements of up to 712% compared to Gigabit Ethernet.
Improved MySQL Performance
Researchers at VFusion have been working to document the performance and scalability improvements for MySQL Cluster. A series of tests to compare the performance of PCIE fabric on our Vortex Express SuperSockets to regular Gigabit Ethernet and infiniband, concluded that overall for most benchmarks VFusion Vortex Express PCIE fabric improves MySQL/MSSql Cluster performance 2 – 4 times.
Plug & Play Easy Integration With MySQL
The use of Vfusion PCIE fabric only requires installation of the Vortex Express hardware, device and the Pcie Fabric infrastructure leaving applications and database software totally untouched. The Vfusion PCIE Fabric ensures full transparency for all applications using socket communication, meaning that all versions of MySQL/MSSql and MySQL/MSSql Cluster can be used with Vfusion pcie fabric on either windows or linux.

PCIE fabric based storage replication running over SuperSockets provides a high speed, low latency storage platform for Databases and other applications.
High Availability
Redundant Vfusion Vortex Express fabrics are supported for high availability applications demanding immediate failover capabilities. The SuperSockets software will do channel bonding for increased performance while both redundant networks are available. SuperSockets will transparently switch to Ethernet if all available VFusion Vortex Express fabrics become unavailable.
