Replacing NetApp

The Dutch government had been using a NetApp storage device to store and manage the user data and user profile information for their online services. However, as the number of users and the amount of data grew, the government realized that their current storage solution was not able to keep up with the performance and scalability requirements. They needed a more advanced and efficient storage solution to handle their growing needs. Vfusion was approached by the government to assist in migrating their user data and user profile environment to a Vfusion Express V900 system. The Vfusion team conducted a thorough assessment of the government’s current storage environment and identified the best migration strategy.
The migration process was carried out in several phases to ensure minimal disruption to the government’s online services. In the first phase, the Vfusion team set up the new Vfusion Express V900 system in parallel to the existing NetApp device. This allowed the government to test the new system and ensure that it met their requirements before proceeding with the migration. In the second phase, the Vfusion team used advanced data migration tools to transfer the user data and user profile information from the NetApp device to the Vfusion Express V900 system. The migration process was designed to ensure that there was no downtime for the government’s online services during the transfer. In the final phase, the Vfusion team worked with the government to perform final testing and validation of the new storage system. Once everything was confirmed to be working correctly, the government’s online services were switched over to the new Vfusion Express V900 system. The migration was a success and the Dutch government’s online services were able to continue running smoothly without any interruption. The new Vfusion Express V900 system provided the government with a high-performance and scalable storage solution that could keep up with their growing needs.
The system’s advanced features such as NVMe and RDMA protocols, and PCIE fabric technology helped to significantly improve the performance of the government’s online services. Additionally, the Vfusion Express V900 system provided the government with data protection and disaster recovery features that ensured the continuity of their services in case of any unexpected incidents. The migration to the Vfusion Express V900 system also brought cost benefits to the government as the new system was able to deliver the same level of performance and scalability as the previous system, but at a lower cost. The Vfusion Express V900 system also provided the government with the flexibility and scalability to expand their storage capacity as their needs grew. In summary, the migration of the Dutch government’s user data and user profile environment from a NetApp device to a Vfusion Express V900 system was a success. The Vfusion team were able to provide a smooth and seamless migration process that ensured minimal disruption to the government’s online services. The new Vfusion Express V900 system provided the government with a high-performance, scalable, and cost-effective storage solution that met their current and future needs.
